How Package Retriever processes information about you when you interact with our Merchants
You're probably reading this because you clicked a “Your privacy rights” or “Powered by Package Retriever” link on a retailer's website. This page tells you who we are, what information we may receive about you from that retailer, and how you can control it.
Who We Are
Package Retriever, Inc. is a business-to-business fulfillment platform. We don't sell to consumers. Retailers and merchants use our Services to print shipping labels, handle returns, sync orders across platforms, and run analytics.
What Information We Receive About You
When you make a purchase, submit a return, or otherwise interact with a retailer that uses our Services, we may receive:
- Your name, shipping address, email, and phone number (from the retailer's order system);
- Order and shipment details (items purchased, tracking numbers, delivery status);
- Return details (reason, condition, disposition);
- Technical information (IP address, browser and device signals) when you open a shipping email, visit the retailer's storefront with a Package Retriever pixel or widget, or use our public tracking page.
What We Do With It
We use the information to ship your order, process your returns, and provide the retailer with analytics about its own customer base. We also operate a cross-merchant identity graph that recognizes activity about the same individual across the different retailers that use our Services, for the purposes described in Section 7 of our
Privacy Policy.
If this retailer has opted in to “Commercial Activation,” we may transmit one-way hashed identifiers about you (never your raw name, email, or address) to advertising platforms such as Meta or Google so that the retailer can reach you with advertising on those platforms. You can opt out of this at any time.
Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, port, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. You may exercise these rights at:
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC). If you enable GPC in your browser, we will treat it as a valid opt-out of “sale” / “sharing” for future processing.
Two-Controller Rule of Thumb
For most privacy questions about your purchase, contact the retailer directly — they're the primary controller of your information. Package Retriever processes your information on the retailer's behalf. For questions that relate specifically to how we process your data at the Package Retriever level, use our channels above.
